The 47th Annual Holiday Walk
Meadow Brook Hall’s 47th annual Holiday Walk runs through December 23. The Hall will be decked in holiday splendor with over 50 dazzling trees on display, including a 10-foot tall Poinsettia tree created by 150 live plants. Visitors can tour the grand rooms of the Great Estate decked in elegant holiday décor and on select evenings warm themselves by the fire while roasting S’mores and enjoying holiday beverages.
The Meadow Brook estate will shine a little brighter this holiday season during “Holiday Lights and Winter Nights.” For these special nights guests will experience the National Historic Landmark trimmed in lights. The evening outdoor activities include: bonfires, strolling carolers, a cash bar featuring warm holiday drinks and S’mores kits will be available for purchase. Self-guided tours of the house and playhouses will also be available until 8:00 p.m. during “Holiday Lights and Winter Nights.”
New this year, bring the whole family to the Great Estate during Meadow Brook’s Family Festivities. On December 21, 22, and 23, Santa Claus himself will be at The Hall for great photo opportunities and lots of family fun. After visiting with St. Nick, say hello to the live reindeer he brought all the way down from the North Pole. Santa and his reindeer will be at The Hall from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on December 21, and 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on December 22 and 23.
Children of all ages can participate in “Cleo’s Candy Adventure,” inspired by the Dodge-Wilson’s beloved pet St. Bernard, Cleo. Kids can search for treats and sweets while touring the mansion, then collect their prize at Candy Cane Cottage. Throughout the Holiday Walk, children can also write a letter to Santa and drop it in his mailbox while visiting his workshop in Danny’s Cabin.
Meadow brook’s 47th annual Holiday walk is open to the public through Sunday, December 23. Tour hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (last admittance at 3:00 p.m.). “Holiday Lights and Winter Nights” takes place on December 1, 11, December 17 through December 20 and December 22 and 23 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (last admittance at 7:00 p.m.), evening activities begin at 5 p.m. Admission to the Holiday Walk between November 23 and December 20 is $20 for adults, $7.50 for children ages 6-12 (accompanied by an adult); children age 5 and under are free. On Mondays and Wednesdays, seniors age 62 and older will receive $5 off admission. Admission to the “Family Festivities” on December 21 through 23, which includes Holiday Walk activities plus visits with Santa and his reindeer, is $22.50 for adults and seniors, $10 for children ages 6-12, (accompanied by an adult); children age 5 and under are free. All tours are self-guided and reservations are not required.
