Melinda Conway Callahan Appointed President of Crittenton Foundation

Melinda Conway Callahan, of Rochester Hills, was selected as the new president of the Crittenton Foundation announced Lynn Orfgen, President and Chief Executive Officer of Crittenton Hospital Medical Center.  According to Mr. Orfgen, the Foundation started in 2004 and is currently conducting a $20 million Cornerstone Campaign to build a tower that will provide an additional 87 private rooms, medical education, specialty floors and surgical suites.We need the additional rooms to accommodate the growing needs of our patients, stated Orfgen.  Mrs. Callahan will provide the necessary leadership for the Foundation to create a culture of philanthropy to support the Hospital’s mission.”

Callahan is a long time resident of the community and serves on the board of directors of Paint Creek Center for the Arts, Rochester Community Schools Foundation and Grantmakers in Aging.  She has a long history with the hospital, “My family and I have always had Crittenton as our healthcare provider and I am pleased to have the opportunity to help others invest in our community hospital.”  Callahan is a graduate of Michigan State University and has a Master of Public Administration from Oakland University.

The Crittenton Foundation has supported many projects and programs including physician and nursing education, renovation of operating suites, patient transportation, medical technology and life saving equipment.
