Bring your family to downtown Rochester for the Michigan Earth Day Fest—the state’s largest free Earth Day celebration. Enjoy exhibits, speakers, entertainment, recycling drop-off, awards, food, family fun, and more! The mission of the the fest is to celebrate our planet, showcase “green” initiatives in our community, and learn how to make every day Earth Day.
The three-day fest is presented by MI Green Team, and sponsored by DTE Energy, Oakland County Planning & Economic Development, and Republic Recycling. Activities kick-off on Friday, April 25 and the event wraps up on Sunday, April 27. Please note, there’s a new location this year: Walnut Boulevard and Fourth Street.

- 6 p.m.: American Idol Hollywood Week finalist Abbie Lane Isham (from Madison Heights) sings
- 6:30 p.m.: Oakland Co. Water Commissioner Jim Nash leads town hall meeting on fracking
- 7 p.m.: MI Green Hall of Fame winners honored
Saturday, April 26
- 11 a.m.: Earth Day Pep Rally
- 11:30 a.m.: Local Talent Showcase featuring Jennifer Kincer Studio students
- 12:30 p.m.: Family-friendly four-mile bike ride on the Paint Creek Trail
- 1 p.m.: School of Rock House Band
- 1-4 p.m.: Radio Disney Jr. Doc McStuffins Toy Check-up for Kids
- 2 p.m.: Holistic heart doctor/author Joel Kahn MD on plant-based diet for health & planet
- 3 p.m.: Radio Disney Road Crew Show
