Michigan Senior Olympic Winter Games
The Michigan Senior Olympic Winter Games are beginning on Wednesday, February 8 and will run until Monday, February 13 (exception of DanceSport February 19). We have 500 athletes from all over the state participating in the games. The games take place at various locations throughout Oakland and Macomb Counties. The Michigan Senior Olympics are open to ages 50 and older. Athletes compete in 5-year-age groups.

- Ice Hockey – Wednesday-Friday, February 8-10 at Troy Sports Center (Men’s 60+)
- Bocce Ball – Wednesday, February 8 at Palazzo di Bocce
- Basketball (Free Throw & 3-Point Contest) – Thursday, February 9 at Auburn Hills Community Center
- Badminton – Friday, February 10 at OPC Senior Center (Rochester)
- Billiards – Friday, February 10 at OPC Senior Center (Rochester)
- Racquetball – Saturday, February 11 at Warren Racquet & Fitness
- Pickleball – Saturday-Monday, February 11-13 at OPC Senior Center (Rochester)
- Volleyball (Co-Ed) – Sunday, Feb. 12 at Elite Sportsplex (Waterford)
- Powerlifting – Monday, February 13 at CrossFit Deviate (Rochester)
- DanceSport – Sunday, February 19 at Royal Park Hotel
Michigan Senior Olympics is a non-profit organization that promotes healthy lifestyles by organizing state games, sports competitions, health, fitness, nutrition, and wellness programs for the over 50 population in the State of Michigan. MSO looks forward to an exciting time of competition and camaraderie. Many people participate for the competition while others play to just have fun.
If you are not an athlete we encourage you to check out the winter events. They are all free to watch (with the exception of the Dancesport event). The DanceSport Competition is held at the Royal Park Hotel on February 19, 2017 where professional and amateur dancers compete on the dance floor. The evening will include a cash bar, buffet dinner, raffles, and social dancing. Please contact the MSO office at 248-608-0252 for more information.
Another highlight of the Winter Games is the annual Ice Hockey Tournament held at the Troy Sports Center on February 8-10 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. each day. Detroit Red Wings Alumni, Eddie Mio (goalie) will be at the championship game on Friday, February 10 and will assist in the medal presentation ceremony at 1:00 p.m.
