Model Railroad Club Pulls into Rochester Hills Museum

Join the Stoney Creek Model Railroad Club at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm to learn about one of the greatest hobbies in the world while using your imagination to travel the old-fashioned way and see the country and its splendor. model trains

These HO gauge trains travel high and low past countryside and cities, over bridges and through tunnels, with each module telling a different story with great care and attention paid to detail – in miniature. A camera on the engine shows the “engine’s eye view” of the trip!

The trains will be running on November 28 and 29 as well as
December 13, 26, 27 and January 2 and 3, from 1 – 4 p.m.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to tour the 1840 Van Hoosen Farmhouse and 1850 Red House decorated for the holiday season.

Tours of the Farmhouse are at 1:30 and 3 p.m.

Tours of the Red House begin at 2:30 p.m.

Begin your visit at the Dairy Barn and enjoy the three new interactive exhibits: How Does a Dairy Barn Work, Views of a Lively Town, and the new video theatre.
