Movie Trailer for the Rochester Hills Museum On Van Hoosen Farm Film

Rochester Hills Adds Additional Seats For World Premiere

History has never been in higher demand as On Van Hoosen Farm, an original production of Detroit PBS. Tickets for the one time only event were snapped up by fans after only a few days, prompting the city to add an additional auditorium. There are just 70 tickets left for the event scheduled for Wednesday, November 16 at 7:00 p.m.

Thanks to a partnership with Emagine Theatre, guests will be able to enjoy our community’s history in some of the most comfortable seats Michigan has to offer. Following the screening, guests will be able to enjoy a catered afterglow with the film’s stars and producers.

“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to share the community we love on the silver screen,” states Mayor Bryan K. Barnett. “We are so thrilled at the overwhelming support and buzz that our residents have created.”

All proceeds of this event will go to the rebuilding of the equipment barn. The Equipment Barn was once an integral part of the Van Hoosen Farm operation. The Equipment Barn will help the Museum more accurately recreate the historic farm setting at the Van Hoosen Farm. The building will be located on the exact footprint of the original building and would replicate the original building in nearly all details.

At one time, the Van Hoosen Farm was a world class dairy operation and the equipment barn will allow the Museum to create a broader interpretive story, create an on-site maintenance space, and bring valuable items and equipment indoors during the winter to avoid deterioration from weather.

Tickets, which are $60 for a single and $100 for a couple. Tickets can be purchased online at All contributions are 100% tax deductible.
