Municipal Waste Collection Delayed One Day Due to Storm

Rizzo Environmental Services communities are on a “Holiday” schedule this week

Communities served by Rizzo Environmental Services for waste and recyclables collection will experience a one-day delay due to the storm our region has just experienced.

“The locations we dispose of municipal waste are closed today because of the snow,” said Joseph Munem, Director of Government Affairs and Public Relations. “Simply put, we have nowhere to take the garbage today,” Munem said.

The press release went on to say that most Rizzo communities will be delayed one day in pickup, like when a holiday falls during a workweek. Those with Friday collections will have their waste and recyclables picked up on Saturday:

Bloomfield Township, Chesterfield Township, Clinton Township, Detroit, Eastpointe, Ecorse, Fraser, Grosse Pointe City, Grosse Point Farms, Grosse Pointe Park, Grosse Pointe Shores, Grosse Pointe Woods, Hamtramck, Harper Woods, Highland Township, Keego Harbor, Lake Orion Village, Lincoln Park, Madison Heights, Milford Township, Milford Village, Mount Clemens, Oxford Village, Rochester, Roseville, Royal Oak, Royal Oak Township, St. Clair Shores, Shelby Township, Southgate, Sylvan Lake, Trenton, Washington Township and West Bloomfield Township.

The communities of Center Line and Flat Rock will be on a normal schedule this week.
