Muslim Youth 3rd Annual Day at City Hall

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association of Metro Detroit will renew their pledge of allegiance to the City of Rochester Hills this Monday July 18

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association of Metro Detroit pledged their allegiance, support, and service to the City of Rochester Hills two years ago during the July 21 2014 city council meeting public comment, and again a year later on Monday July 20. This Monday July 18 will be marked as the 3rd Annual Day at City Hall where AMYA Metro Detroit will once again renew their pledge and describe the many efforts they have engaged in to fulfill that pledge. From donating food to Neighborhood House, volunteering for the Older Persons Commission, and organizing water bottle drives for the Flint Water Crisis, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association of Metro Detroit is committed to keeping their pledge and doing more for the community.

This years pledge will include a new initiative where The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Center (1730 W. Auburn Rd.) will be offered to the public as not just a Mosque in the area, but an actual community center where people can come to play sports, utilize the banquet style facility for events, and to meet and learn about Muslims at a weekly “Meet a Muslim” coffee hour each Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

“Our motto is ‘Love for All, Hatred for None.” Says Adeel Ahmed, President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association – Metro Detroit. “We will never cease to sacrifice our wealth, time, and honor for the sake of our faith, country, and nation.”
