Neighborhood House to Benefit from Rochester Ballroom Spotlight Gala

The Rochester Ballroom has generously offered to put the needs of Rochester Area Neighborhood House in their “Spotlight” as they sponsor a benefit to help their local neighbors in need.  The Spotlight Gala that will be held September 30th at the Royal Park Hotel in downtown Rochester will support the ongoing programs and services of Rochester Area Neighborhood House, a non-profit dedicated to helping struggling families move toward self-sufficiency.

The Spotlight Gala will begin at 4:30 p.m. with hors d’oeurves in the grand foyer, student spotlight performances, dinner and a cash bar, and finally dancing for everyone to the live band “Band B” that will last until 9:00 p.m.  If you love Dancing with the Stars, Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, or if you have always wanted to know more about ballroom dancing, this is the perfect opportunity to learn more.  All dancers and potential dancers are welcome – from the novice to the seasoned.  The goal of the evening is to have fun while supporting the needs of the community.

Executive Director, Linda Riggs, noted that she was thrilled when Rochester Ballroom owner Alan Smith approached her with the idea. “Alan truly believes in our motto of Neighbors Helping Neighbors, and the Spotlight Gala is a great way for our community to make sure that our agency can continue to meet the needs of our neighbors who are struggling financially.” Ms. Riggs added that the Ballroom’s “support of Neighborhood House and our mission demonstrates their confidence in our ability to help our neighbors, and we take that charge very seriously.”

Tickets for the Spotlight Gala are still available for $60 per person and can be purchased on line at www.rochesterballroom.com or by calling the Rochester Ballroom directly at 248-651-7446.
