New Day Foundation to Host Annual Holiday Gift Giving Program

New Day Seeks Holiday Gift Giving Program Sponsors for Families

No child should go without at the holidays. The New Day Foundation for Families holiday gift giving program, which strives to soften the financial impact faced by cancer families during the holiday season, is seeking individuals, companies or groups to sponsor a family this year.

Last year, New Day provided 23 families with gifts at a special holiday celebration held in downtown Rochester.  The second annual Lights, Laughter & Love holiday party for families and their sponsors will be held Monday, December 12, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in downtown Rochester. Families can enjoy refreshments, have their photo taken with Santa and stroll the Big, Bright Lights Show. Sponsors of families are invited to personally meet the families and present their holiday gifts to them at the event.

“When we provide gifts for a family, it’s not just about giving gifts — it’s an effort to restore normalcy, joy and hope to their lives,” said Gina Kell Spehn, executive director and co-founder of New Day Foundation for Families. “The holiday season is all about hope, so let’s celebrate our abundant blessings, live generously, and keep hope alive for families fighting cancer.”
