Summer Events at the Great Estate

Yoga In The Garden is an all-levels yoga class in the Rock Garden. Yoga instructor Shannon Kraegel will lead class while participants practice poses and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the surrounding gardens. Please bring a yoga mat and water bottle. In the event of inclement weather, the class will be held indoors. All classes are from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on the following Sundays: June 3, July 15 and August 12. Reservations are not required for this event. Registration is $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Please bring cash or check if you pay day of the class.

Summer Events at the Great Estate

Enchanted Evenings at Meadow Brook Hall. This new program will offer guided touring at dusk on select summer days, followed by music, sweets and drinks on the Loggia Terrace. The evening begins with a guided tour of The Hall followed by live musical entertainment on the Loggia Terrace, complete with delectable desserts and a cash bar. Enchanted Evenings will be offered on the following Wednesdays: June 27, July 18 and August 22 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Reservations are $25 per person.

Make new memories at the Mother-Daughter Tea this summer. The tea will take place at Meadow Brook Hall on Sunday, June 24 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Garden Tent. Ladies of all ages will enjoy this delightful afternoon, which includes savory and sweet food stations, tea, a children’s craft activity, a self-guided garden tour and a garden scavenger hunt on the estate grounds. Reservations are $50 per person.

The 2018 Summer Concert Series begins on July 12 with multi-instrument phenomenon Dave Bennett, a clarinet virtuoso who plays electric guitar, piano, drums, vocalizes and more. Performing on August 2 is Ben Sharkey, who perfectly fuses vintage old school cool and contemporary jazz, soul and swagger. Closing the series on August 16 is Kimmie Horne, a descendant of the legendary songstress Lena Horne. All concerts are 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; reservations are $35 per person and include a self-guided main floor tour of The Hall, hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.

Meadow Brook Hall is fully self-supporting, relying on special events for the preservation and interpretation of this National Historic Landmark.
