The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will host a public information meeting about the planned 2019 Gunn/Adams Road intersection improvement project in Oakland Township on Tuesday, May 8.
The Road Commission for Oakland County is planning a roundabout at Adams and Gunn Roads in Oakland Township
The meeting is from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Delta Kelly School, 3800 Adams Road in Oakland Township. The meeting with be an open-house format — there will be no formal presentations. RCOC staff will be present to answer questions throughout the meeting.
The approximately $1.8 million safety improvement project is funded with a mix of federal and local dollars. Local funding is shared by RCOC and Oakland Township.
The project includes:
- Construction of a roundabout at the Adams/Gunn intersection
- Drainage improvements
- Americans with Disability Act (ADA) compliant crosswalk
Construction is expected to begin once school adjourns for the summer recess in 2019 and conclude in the fall. The intersection will be completely closed to traffic during construction.
