Rochester Hills Public Library patrons now have access to over 1000 online art and craft classes though Creativebug.
Patrons can watch classes anytime, anywhere, on any device. Since the classes never expire, users can start and stop projects at their own pace.
“There are so many creative people in our community who I know will love this service,” said Adult Services Manager Jessica Parij. “I’m using Creativebug to refine my cake decorating skills! I learned a lot in the past from YouTube, but Creativebug breaks up the lessons into easily digestible parts and clearly outlines all the materials needed.”
Founded in 2012, Creativebug is a subscription-based crafting website that is comprised of a team of dreamers and makers who believe that everyone has a creative side. They pride themselves on bringing the latest in art and craft education to their thousands of members, and work with renowned artists to do just that.
“Rochester Hills Public Library prides itself on offering something for everyone,” said Community Relations Specialist Amanda Harrison Keighley. “Creativebug is an excellent addition to our digital resources.”
Additional in-home resources offered by Rochester Hills Public Library include language learning and genealogy software, streaming services for television, music and movies, news subscriptions like the New York Times and more.
Offered at no cost to library patrons, getting started with Creativebug only requires an active library card. For more information on how to access Creativebug or additional services visit rhpl.org or call 248-656-7195.
