STORY TIMES– Winter Session II

Registration opens Monday, January 7 at 9:00 a.m.
Story times are open to children with library cards who reside in Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township. So we can accommodate as many children as possible, we ask that each child choose one time slot per session. A detailed schedule of story times is available at calendar.rhpl.org or in the youth room. Children should be registered using their own library card numbers.
WHERE IN THE WORLD – Northern Africa and the Middle East

Register all children attending this event. Join us as we travel to a different part of the world each month. Our destinations this month will include countries from Turkey to Morocco and places in between. We will delight in hearing some folktales from those exotic places and finish up by creating a Khamsa, a good luck symbol from Morocco. Online registration begins Tuesday, January 8. Register all children attending this program filled with early literacy activities. You’ll follow your child’s lead and do some (or all!) of the activities. Things might get messy, so dress accordingly. Children must be registered with their own library card, and must be accompanied by an adult. Online registration opens January 25. If you miss registration, the room will be opened up at 11 a.m. if space and materials are available.
PRESCHOOL FRIDAY

Parents are invited to drop in and visit with representatives from the local preschools and daycare centers. They will bring information about their programs and be on-hand to answer questions. No registration is required.
