Northern Lights: The Michigan UFO Experience

Join us for an evening exploring the truly out-of-this-world subject of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) with Bill Murphy on Thursday, October 21st at 7 p.m. at the Rochester Hills Public Library. Bill Murphy is a Board Member of the J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies and Consultant to the Michigan Chapter of the Mutual UFO Network. Northern Lights examines the UFO phenomenon and how it has expressed itself in Michigan sightings, including  an apparent UFO-jet collision in 1953, the famous “swamp gas” episodes of 1966, and the Holland-Grand Haven radar-visual sightings that were featured on CBS’ 48 Hours. Mr. Murphy, a former automotive engineer, college teacher, and historian, uses his own case investigations and research into little-known UFO files, including those at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library. After the presentation, publications of the Center for UFO Studies will be available for purchase.

Registration is required and open to those with a Rochester Hills Public library card. To register go to the Events Calendar at www.rhpl.org or call 248-656-2900. The Rochester Hills Public Library is located in downtown Rochester two blocks east of Main Street off of University Drive on Olde Towne Road. For more information, please call 248-650-7124.
