Come to the Rochester Church of Christ on Monday, June 22 at 2 p.m. to hear Brad Meltzer discuss The Inner Circle and his just released thriller, The President’s Shadow.

The Inner Circle was the 2015 Everyone’s Reading selection. Currently in its 14th year, Everyone’s Reading is a community-wide reading sponsored by 14 public libraries in Oakland and Wayne counties to promote dialogue through the shared experience of reading and discussing the same book.

The Inner Circle is part of a trilogy of books featuring the Culper Ring, a spy ring that helped win the Revolutionary War and is said to have protected U.S. Presidents since George Washington. According to Meltzer, who graduated from the University of Michigan, the book includes at least one secret mention about Michigan.

Meltzer said about his upcoming appearances, “When it comes to returning to Michigan, no author is as excited as I am. I went to college in Michigan, learned how to write there, and grew up there.”

Due to popular demand, a ticket will be required for the author appearances. Tickets are free and available at the following participating libraries:

  • Auburn Hills Public Library
  • Baldwin Public Library
  • Clarkston Independence District Library
