Oakland County Assessment Seminars

Pontiac, MI, February 3, 2011 – Oakland County will host three workshops to provide residents vital information about appealing property tax assessments. Each workshop feature information about Proposal A, understanding the assessment change notice, and preparing for the March Board of Review.

“Nothing is more perplexing than understanding how assessors determine the value of your property,” said Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson. “People want to know the basis of those decisions.”

Deputy County Executive Phil Bertolini and Equalization Manager Dave Hieber will be on hand at each seminar to answer questions. “If you have questions about your assessment, then you won’t want to miss these workshops,” Bertolini said.

The assessment seminars will be held February 16th, February 24th and March 2nd at the following locations:
