Oakland County Citizen Survey to Help Guide future of County

Oakland County Executive David Coulter wants to hear from residents about their top priorities for the new year. His administration has released the Oakland County Government’s Citizen Survey 2020 which asks residents to rank what is important to them in terms of jobs and the economy, public health, neighborhoods and housing, roads and transportation, and more.

“We began engaging Oakland County residents about what matters to them with community meet and greets,” Coulter said. “Now, we’re expanding our reach to our citizens with this survey so we can be sure we are hearing from everyone who wants to have a voice in their county government.”

To take the survey, go to www.OakGov.com and click on the “Citizen Survey 2020” button. The survey will remain open until January 10, 2020. Coulter’s administration will utilize the results of the survey to help the county be responsive to those who live in Oakland County and ensure the policies and strategies of county government are inclusive of all residents.

“I am focused on creating opportunity for everyone in all parts of our county, launching a new economic strategy, and improving county-led health and affordable housing initiatives,” Coulter said. “I have found that my experience as a county commissioner and a mayor helps me bring together residents, businesses, and elected officials as we work together to keep moving Oakland County forward.”

Coulter began hosting “Your County with David Coulter” meet and greets in October to hear from and engage with Oakland County residents. To date, he has visited 10 communities including Royal Oak, Clarkston, Wixom, and Novi. He has four more schedule in January:

  • Oxford Public Library, 530, Pontiac St., January 7 at 10:00 a.m.
  • Holly Township Library, 1116 N. Saginaw St., January 9 at 6:00 p.m.
  • White Lake Township Library, 11005 Elizabeth Lake Rd., January 15 at 10:30 a.m.
  • Brandon Township Public Library, 304 South St., January 22 at 10:00 a.m.
