The Oakland County Federal Aid Committee, the body made up of representatives of the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), SMART (the suburban bus system) and all communities in the county and charged with selecting projects to receive federal road funding coming to Oakland County, will conduct a special meeting next Tuesday, May 6.
The purpose of the meeting is to review the status of 2014 construction projects and select one additional project to be funded in 2017. Funding is available for the additional 2017 project because several projects originally scheduled for that year were previously moved up.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and will take place in the Shannon Room at the City of Farmington Hills’ William Costick Center, 28600 11 Mile Road in that city. The meeting is open to the public.
