Oakland County Officials Give on Good Friday to Flint Veteran’s Organization to Help with the Flint Water Crisis

Oakland County Commissioners presented needed items to Veteran’s of Now to help residents of Flint during the Water Crisis. On Friday, March 25, 2016, Commissioners Marcia Gershenson and Bob Hoffman pictured with Terrell Spencer, Veterans of Now CEO, George F. Grundy, who is a U.S. Marine. He served in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Also, pictured is Christopher Hatter, who is a son of a veteran at the Veterans of Now location in Flint. Commissioners drove donated items from the Oakland County Cares 4 Flint Employee Donation Drive which collected antibacterial soap, baby wipes, hand sanitizers and other much needed items that will assist residents impacted by the water crisis. The four day donation drive began on March 21 and ended on March 24. Commissioners brought items to Flint on Good Friday, March 25.
