Oakland Township Clean Scene May 7

47th Annual Clean Scene

It is time to hit the road again and collect the litter and debris that old man winter left behind on Oakland Township’s roadsides. Each year dedicated volunteers become part of the solution in helping keep our township looking great! This year’s event will be held on Saturday, May 7. Participants gather at 9:00am at the Township Hall for sign in, bag pick-up and refreshments. Volunteers choose the roads they intend to clean beforehand or are assigned a road on Clean Scene Day. After checking in, volunteers head to their morning’s trash collection location. Volunteers with pick-up trucks are also needed to patrol the township, collect the filled bags and bring them back to the compactor truck at Township Hall. When all the litter is in the bag, volunteers gather back at the Township Hall for lunch and camaraderie.
