Oakland Township Library Board Seeking to Fill Vacant Position on the Oakland Library Board of Directors

Due to the sudden and tragic death of Library Board member Elizabeth Buchheister, the Oakland Township Library Board is seeking applicants for appointment to fill the vacancy for the remainder of her term ending November 2016. The applicant must be 18 years of age or older, an American citizen and a resident of the Charter Township of Oakland.

He or she also must be able to attend the evening meetings of the board which are held quarterly on the third Thursday of the month and be able to assume board responsibilities. Persons who have an interest in library affairs and who have a keen desire to serve the Charter Township of Oakland community should consider applying. The press release stated that this is a volunteer position and is not compensated.
