Oakland University Board of Trustees Selects Ora Hirsch Pescovitz as their Next President

Oakland University Board of Trustees selects 7th president today at a special meeting. Ora Hirsch Pescovitz, M.D. will move to Michigan to take the five-year contract position, with a salary of $457,500 annually.

The two finalists were Carl Camden, CEO of Kelly Services out of Troy and Ora Hirsch Pescovitz of Eli Lilly, formerly of the University of Michigan Medical School.

Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson released the following statement today regarding the selection of Dr. Ora Hirsch Pescovitz as Oakland University’s next president:

“Congratulations to Dr. Pescovitz on her appointment as president of Oakland University. Oakland County and the university have worked together to help build the knowledge-based economy in our region, especially with collaboration between the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and our Medical Main Street initiative. We look forward to continuing our warm relationship.”
