Oakland University Supports Art Festival

The Art & Apples Festival is pleased to announce its partnership with Oakland University for this year’s festival. Oakland University is sponsoring the Acoustic Café which features local musicians who delight festival-goers near the South Food Court throughout the festival weekend.

Festival Director, Laura Bates says, “We’ve worked with Oakland University in the past, but this year, we are so happy to have them on board sponsoring our newest stage: the Acoustic Café. We also work with different student groups from Oakland University in a volunteer capacity, and this year, we are working with the Oakland University Art Association, who will lend a hand in the Kids Art Zone.”

Festival-goers will enjoy spending some time at the Oakland University Acoustic Café which is located next to the Rochester Community House in Rochester Park. OU’s student-run radio station, WXOU, will also be present at the Acoustic Café throughout the weekend.

The 48th annual Art & Apples Festival takes place September 6-8, 2013 in Rochester Park and features over 285 fine artists from across the country, entertainment on two stages and plenty of food and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
