Mavis E. Goetz, passed away August 13, 2013 in Detroit, Michigan. Beloved wife of the late James. Loving Mother of Kimberly (Edward) Meleski, Daniel (Karen) Goetz, Jill (Karen Gasper) Goetz. Cherished grandmother of Ryan Siekas, Kyle Siekas, Paige Goetz and Brandon Schaefer, great-grandmother of Kylie and Kyle Siekas Jr. Mavis was an avid reader. She loved to travel, take cruises, go to the movies but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Larry Alan Kotwicki

January 25, 1954 – August 12, 2013

Larry A. Kotwicki, age 59, of Pontiac, Michigan passed away on August 12, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved Husband of Helen. Loving Father of Brad, and Haley, Son of the late Joan and Louis. Son- in- law of Alena and the late Emilo Cinqueranelli. Cherished brother of Sandy Yurk, and brother-in-law to Ted Yurk, Mary Ann, and Tony DeMarco. Uncle to Tiffany (Shane), Marcy, Amy, Reed, and Brent. Survived by many cousins, great nieces, nephews and friends. Larry loved classic cars, camping, playing cards, and woodworking. He loved Halloween and horror movies, The Eagles, and golf, along with Bill Knapp’s Chocolate Cake. GOODING, ARLENE of Commerce Twp.; August 10, 2013; age 89; Loving wife of John S. Gooding; Beloved mother of Linda Nestle and Charles Allen; Dear grandmother of Becky, Cheryl, Trish and the late Kari. Great-grandmother of Jessica, Matt and Lilly; Also cherished by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gooding was retired from the Michigan Department of Transportation. She enjoyed golf, playing bridge and loved spending time in her beautiful gardens. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. Wade E. Bennett

BENNETT, Wade E., age 59, of Rochester Hills, died August 9, 2013. A life-time resident of Rochester, he was a 1972 graduate of Rochester High School and was employed as a Quality Engineer for Cooper Standard Automotive. He was the husband of Brenda S. Bennett, whom he married June 28, 1975. Loving and proud father of Joshua and Zachary. Son of the late William and Julia Bennett. Brother of Michael (Susan), Jo Anna (Allen) Sova, Harvey (Debbie), Laura Bartosiewicz, Rebecca (Perry) Bailey and the late Julie Bennett. Keith W. Brandon

April 23, 1916 – August 9, 2013

BRANDON, Keith W., age 97, of Auburn Hills, passed away August 9, 2013. Keith was the loving husband of the late Beatrice Brandon for 73 years. Dear father of Virginia (Wilson) Garner and Vicki Brandon. Keith ws born in Turner, MI to the late Charles and Ethel Brandon. He was preceded in death by his sisters Aletha Mackell, Pearl Edwards, Geraldine Monk and a brother, Kenneth Brandon. In his early twenties, Keith graduated from the Detroit Barber College and did barbering in Pontiac. He also was a United States Marine Corp veteran of World War II. Keith retired from General Motors Truck and Coach after 30 years of service. He was a faithful worker for the Lord at Five Points Community Church, serving as Supervisor of the Junior Department and custodian. He could fix or repair almost anything and took pride in keeping the Lord’s house in immaculate condition. In recent yers he was a member of North Auburn Hills Baptist Church and regularly attended the “Keenagers Class” for seniors. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Thursday at North Auburn Hills Baptist Church, 3889 N. Squirrel Road in Auburn Hills 48326, with Dr. John E. Marine, officiating. She spent many years as a school volunteer and member of the PTA. She was a devoted Christian who loved her family.
