OPC teams up with Carson’s Community Days

Purchase Carson’s “Community Days” Coupon Booklets for a $5 Donation with Proceeds Benefiting the OPC

Purchase a $5 coupon booklet during Carson’s Community Days to support the Older Persons’ Commission (OPC). 100% of the coupon booklet price directly benefits non-profits in the community. In addition to helping serve thousands of area seniors, customers will receive up to $500 in special shopping offers at Carson’s in the booklet.

Booklets can be purchased at the OPC Cashier’s Desk from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. or in the OPC Gift Shop from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Community Days is a two-day shopping event at Carson’s held February 26-27. The company has generously created this event to enable non-profit 501C3 groups and schools to raise money to support their mission.

“We are so grateful to Carson’s for supporting our community,” said Renee Cortright, OPC’s executive director. “The $5 donation for the coupon booklet will directly benefit our many programs and services. It’s really a great circle of community giving.”

The OPC serves the citizens age 50+ in Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township and provides a wide array of personal enrichment, fitness, aquatic, social and travel offerings. It also offers supportive senior services such as Adult Day Service, transportation, Meals on Wheels, and more.  OPC’s Meals on Wheels is a vital program that serves Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township seniors along with 6 other communities. Approximately 375 seniors receive a hot meal each weekday and 145 meals every weekend.

In Addition …

The OPC Meals on Wheels program has two very important fundraisers each year to help support the hundreds of seniors it serves. The 14th Annual Charity Event, which takes place this year on April 29th at the Royal Park Hotel, and the “5K Run/Walk for Meals” will be held on June 4.

The OPC, located at 650 Letica Drive in Rochester, is Michigan’s premier community center dedicated to the physical, intellectual and emotional well-being of Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township residents who are 50+.
