Join trainers from Startling Line Health and Fitness (SLHF) this Tuesday, September 12 at 6:00 p.m. at Rochester Municipal Park for a bootcamp class to benefit local families facing cancer.
Proceeds from the event, which costs $20 per person, will benefit New Day Foundation for Families, a Rochester-based nonprofit dedicated to reducing the effects of financial toxicity and emotional stress caused by cancer. Their programs are intended to have a positive impact on treatment outcomes and survivorship. New Day offers financial grants in the form of short term bill payment services, as well as emotional support programs for families who have children under the age of 18 in the home as they face the burdens that accompany the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
SLHF coaches are designing a workout that will incorporate the use of mini bands, resistance bands, TRX suspension straps, bodyweight exercises and more to give participants a full body workout. Anyone is welcome to participate. For more information, call SLHF at 248-844-3913.
