Paint Creek Center for the Arts will begin its 30th anniversary celebration on Saturday, November 10 with the annual For the Love of Art event. The event was originated in PCCA’s early years and will be returning to its original venue at the art center in downtown Rochester for a special evening recognizing the organization’s 30 years of providing quality arts and cultural programming for the greater Rochester region.
Starting at 7 p.m., guests will enjoy a silent auction featuring artwork from many Art & Apples Festival artists, a strolling dinner, complimentary beer, wine and signature drink, plus live entertainment as they circulate throughout the building.
“I am truly excited that we are holding the event back at the art center where it was originally held,” says honorary event chair Lynn Marie Oates. “This is a great opportunity for people throughout the community to come and show their support of PCCA while enjoying a wonderful evening as well as the chance to bid on original art work.”
Three ticket levels are available for the event: The $50 Pearl Anniversary includes an individual ticket; the $75 Akoya Pearl includes an individual ticket and recognition in the event program; the $100 South Sea Pearl includes an individual ticket, recognition in the event program and a one-year membership to PCCA. Tickets are available through November 5 online at www.pccart.org or by calling (248) 651-4110.
PCCA is a non-profit regional art center located in downtown Rochester. Proceeds from the evening support programs for children and adults, year-round exhibitions of emerging and established Michigan artists, outreach programming, the annual Regional Arts & Culture Awards and the annual Art & Apples Festival.
