June 7 – 21, 2013
Opening Reception Friday, June 8, 7:00 – 9:00 pm
The students who take classes in the Art School at Paint Creek Center for the Arts, and the artists who teach those classes, are justifiably proud of the beautiful artworks they have made over the last year. With classes in drawing, painting, ceramics, digital photography and more, there will be plenty of variety on view, made by students from Spring 2012 through Spring 2013. Student artists range in age from young children to Senior Citizens. Our instructors are professional teaching artists with many years of experience in their chosen media.
Our Main Gallery will highlight the work of our students of all ages. In our First Floor Gallery you will find
artworks by our accomplished faculty. Many of the artworks are available for sale, with proceeds from sales supporting our Art School program. The show is organized by PCCA’s exhibition and education staff. “Our students and their instructors put a lot of effort into their classes, and they’re excited to share their beautiful work with the public. This show will have something for everyone,” says Exhibition Director Mary Fortuna.
Visitors to this show will see a beautiful selection of drawings, paintings, photographs, mixed media, ceramics and more. You will have an opportunity to meet many of the student artists who have spent the last year devoting themselves to their classes, along with the dedicated artists who have guided them. Enjoy a little wine and some light hors d’oeuvres and conversation with the artists, their friends and families.
Please be our guests for an opening reception on Friday, June 7 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The show runs through Friday, June 21st. The opening reception is free and open to the public.
