Favorite new group classes
Mat and ballet barre group classes offer a vigorous workout that combines core strengthening and mid-section sculpting exercises with energetic music. The class is a tough workout packed with isometric exercises that will tighten and tone a person’s body. The core toning is paired with stretches that will elongate the muscles and make those who take the class stand taller. An array of props like fit circles; foam rollers, weights and stretch bands are also incorporated. Instructors are required to be certified in Pilates, making this a safe and challenging workout.
Some of the benefits a Pilates workout can give you are:
• Improved posture
• Strengthened core
• Increased flexibility
• Greater strength and body alignment
• Mind-body awareness
Each class at Pilates ActivCore Studio is a full body immersion that lasts 55 minutes and produces quick results.
“Clients will love that they are in and out in less than an hour, but still receive an intense full-body workout and stretch,” said Pilates ActivCore Studio owner Betsy Ruiz. “After a few classes, people will feel more toned and confident about their bodies.”

About Pilates ActivCore Studio
Pilates ActivCore was established in 2009 and recently moved into a private studio inside Orthopedic Spine and Sports Therapy to meet the unmet need for a “bridge program.” Depending upon the intended goal for the work out, classes offer personalized Pilates sessions to challenge the most elite athlete, the casual exerciser, or to help rehabilitate clients after an injury. The Pilates ActivCore Studio offers a variety of fitness classes, including Pilates equipment (reformers, cadillacs & stability chairs) and group classes with Pilates mat work and the newest addition, Ballet Barre.
