Time for Turkeys

Lost Lake Nature Park is home to more than just a quiet kayaking dock and exciting sledding hill, it’s also home to woodpeckers, garter snakes, and of course, wild turkeys. With enough turkey in everyone’s bellies after Thanksgiving to last everyone through the winter, it’s only right to learn about the comically large birds that can be seen walking through the woods. A Dinosaur Hill naturalist will teach participants how to perfect their turkey gobbles inside while putting together unique turkey puppets before reading an interactive story about these amazing birds. Afterwards everyone will head out into the woods to see if they can’t spot signs of the large birds while engaging in their very own preschool turkey trot.
