Put Your Best Brain Forward with Mind Aerobics at the OPC

Mind Aerobics is an innovative, evidence-based program that helps adults maintain or strengthen their brain function. In a recent 10 year trial involving nearly 3,000 older adults the Alzheimer’s Association announced that specific types of brain training games that test mental quickness decreased the onset of dementias by 48 percent.

Mind Aerobics classes are organized by cognitive level and participants are grouped into classes based on their cognitive function. Each level has 24 one hour sessions which will be spaced over 12 weeks beginning September 28 on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

The sessions are conducted by a certified Mind Aerobics trainer from the Jewish Family Service of Metropolitan Detroit, and will be held at the Older Persons’ Commission, 650 Letica Drive, Rochester.

Spaces are limited for the first session, which begins September 28 and is open to the public. For more information or to register for an appointment please call 248-608-0260.
