Dear Members of the Rochester School Community:

Rochester Community Schools has created an Exchange Program and, in conjunction with Educatius International, is bringing several international students to join them for the 2015-16 school year. This exciting initiative is part of the district’s efforts to expand its global awareness and education program through its strategic plan. To make this program a success, we are seeking a host family for one student, who can provide the following:

  1. A private room or shared with a host sibling
  2. Three meals a day
  3. A supportive home environment

To attract host families, Rochester Community Schools is working with Educatius International. Educatius International is a leader in the industry, bringing to the US approximately 6000 students per year from over 30 countries. To ensure that this initiative is a success, Educatius International is providing the participating school districts with the following resources:

  1. A monthly stipend to host families to offset the costs for hosting international student(s) into their home; depending on how many students.
  2. A referral bonus of $100 to any individual that refers a family that hosts
  3. An orientation program for the international students, host families, and the school
  4. Access to a local residential coordinator who will be available twenty-four hours a day
  5. Support as needed from Educatius International staff
  6. 24/7 Emergency line

Interested families should contact Melanie Smith via email at [email protected] or call 602-820-6642.

Sincerely, Melanie Smith
Director of Host Family Division Educatius International
