RCS to Survey Preschool Parents

Rochester Community Schools to Survey Preschool Parents

The Rochester Community School District will be surveying 300 randomly selected parents of preschool children on March 7, 8, and 9. The telephone survey is being conducted to assess opinions about preschool education and to ask parents of preschoolers what they think about the future plans for the program within RCS.

“The preschool program has been a valuable part of our school district for more than 34 years. As the youngest members of our community begin their educational journey, we want to ensure we continue to provide the services parents want and children need,” said Rochester Community Schools Superintendent Robert Shaner, Ph.D.

Independent researchers will be calling randomly selected parents of preschoolers. “I urge those who are called to help by participating in this important research project,” said Shaner.

The survey will take about five minutes to complete. All interviews are confidential and the responses will be averaged to present a general picture of the opinions held by preschool parents.

We truly value our community’s input,” said Assistant Superintendent of Instruction Debi Fragomeni. “Our preschool staff brings years of experience in delivering quality early childhood education, but we want to learn about what’s important to our parents as well.”

Once the survey responses are tabulated and analyzed, a report of findings will be presented to the Board of Education of the Rochester Community School District and the public.
