Prieskorn, Gerald Carl, age 78 of Rochester. May 30, 2014. Loving husband of Serene. Cherished father of Stephanie Prieskorn-Barrows, Stacy (Ronald) Adams, and Jerry (Jill) Prieskorn. Adored grandfather of Justin, Zachary, Brandon, Bailey, Caden, Peyton, Carrson, Dawson, Riley, Brady, and Skylar. Predeceased by his brother George. Gerald was the owner of Bald Mountain Golf Course in Lake Orion. Funeral service Tuesday, June 3, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Modetz Funeral Home, 100 E. Silverbell Rd., Orion. Canu, Anthony “Tony,” age 43, of Rochester Hills. May 31, 2014. Loving son of Nancy and the late John Canu. Brother of James Canu, Cathy (Jon) Katz, Dr. Joseph (Debbie) Canu, John Salvatore (Natalia) Canu and the late Gary Canu; uncle of Renee, Sal, Joey, Giancarlo, Michael, Arina, Anastasia, Victoria, Kenneth, Tristan and Angelina; best friend of Ranee Roach. Tony was a small aircraft pilot, a dance instructor, a dancer, builder, a super comedian and had his Master’s in Business. Potere-Modetz Funeral Home of Rochester. Interment Guardian Angel Cemetery. Skidmore, Ardith L. Sarconi, nee Fitzthomas, age 82, of Rochester. May 30, 2014. Loving wife of the late Arthur Skidmore; mother of Jack (Nancy) Sarconi, Mary K. (Joe) Giambalvo and Jeff (Juanita) Skidmore; grandmother of Jacquline Spicer, William D. (Pam) Clement Jr., Heather (Jamie) Lovan, Samantha Sarconi, Alexandria Skidmore and Taylor Skidmore. Great grandmother of five; sister-in-law of Jean Fitzthomas; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday 4-8 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester. Funeral service Friday 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Price, Kenneth J., of Rochester Hills. Born September 15, 1926, Hillsdale, Michigan and Died May 31, 2014 in Rochester Hills. Kenneth is survived by son Richard Price, Daughter-in-Law Barbara Shenefield, daughter Betsy (Jankowski), Son-in-Law Mark Jankowski, and four grandchildren; Elena Price, Evan Price, Morgan Jankowski and Steven Jankowski. Ken’s wife Peggy predeceased him in 1996. A visitation will be held on Thursday June 5th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan 48307. A Funeral Service celebrating Mr. Price will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home on Thursday. Memorial Contributions: Rochester Older Person’s Commission (OPC)

Edward Nagel

Edward Nagel

Nagel, Edward E., age 73, of Rochester Hills. May 27, 2014. Born on July 21, 1940, in Detroit, he graduated from Detroit Pershing High School and then went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Wayne State University and his Master’s Degree from Oakland University. Ed was an educator in the Berkley School District where he spent the majority of his career. He spent many years and countless hours coaching tennis, football, baseball and volleyball. Through coaching, he was able to demonstrate his ability to touch the lives of the young men and women with his wisdom and caring while being their coach. He also took the time to coach his son’s football team. He had a profound way of making every player feel important and a special part of the team. Ed was a special person to be around; his loving, caring and funny personality had a way of affecting everyone around him; that same personality enabled him to make everyone around him feel welcome in any situation. He loved playing pinochle with his friends, especially the “Big Four” and fishing with his family in Lake Ann. He was the son of the late Edward J. and Yolanda G. Nagel of Sterling Heights. Loving husband of Sylvia, his wife of 51 years. Devoted and loving father of Grant (Corrine) Nagel and the late Keith Edward Nagel. He was a caring, generous and loving grandfather to Dylan, Edward and Grace. Devoted brother to Gary Nagel of Smithtown, NY. Also surviving him are his nieces and nephews, Jeffery (Heather) Nagel of NY, Allan (Virginia) Nagel of NV, David (Janette) LaBounty of MI, Katherine (Larry) Letellier of VA, and Lisa (Robin Wigmore) Langhaug of Zimbabwe. Many great-nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive Ed across the country. He will be truly missed by the many people whose lives he touched.
