Grogan, Rose Ellen, age 78 of Rochester Hills. April 13, 2014. Loving wife of Bill. Dear mother of Mary Pat (Jim) Soisson, Tim (Monica) Grogan, Sharon (Ron) Harper and the late Michael (Laurie) Grogan. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass Thursday, April 17, 2014, 10:00 AM with an instate of 9:30 AM at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, 771 Old Perch Rd., Rochester Hills. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3 to 9 PM with a 7PM Scripture service at the Potere-Modetz Funeral Home, 339 Walnut Blvd., Rochester. Interment Guardian Angel Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to O.C.I.M.A., care of St. Irenaeus Catholic Church.

JOHNSTON, Margery J, April 14, 2014, formerly of the Rochester area. Loving wife of Ross, dearest mother of Rick (Susan), and Jolayne (Corey) Sroka, proud grandmother of Christopher (Janine), Brodie, Connor, Adam and great-granddaughter Kenzi. Margery is also survived by her brother Jack (Ellen) Smith and numerous special nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs Oreo, Tipper and her grand-pup Zamboni. Margery lived for golf, cards, antiques, the Red Wings, reading and most importantly her friends and family. Per Margery”s request, please do not send any gladiolas. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 16th from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, MI 48307. A funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday April 17th at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until time of service.

Lupu, Charles William age 66 of Rochester Hills, April 12, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving husband of the late Linda. Dear father of Jeff (Kelly) Lupu and Christy Lupu. Cherished grampa of Ally, Meghan and Justin. Fiancé of Gladys Moore. Brother of Emil (Bernice) Lupu, Debbie (Pete) Adkins, the late Barbara (Bill) Smith and the late Ronald (Dody) Lupu. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service, Wednesday, April 16, 2014, 10:30 AM at the Potere-Modetz Funeral Home, 339 Walnut Blvd, Rochester. Martha “Marty” Caroline Sielaff Peters
November 11, 1933 – April 13, 2014
PETERS, Martha “Marty” Caroline Sielaff, age 80, of Rochester Hills, MI and Venice, FL, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 in Venice, FL with her family by her side. Marty was born in Cleveland Ohio on November 11, 1933. With a harpist scholarship, she graduated from The Ohio State University in 1955 with a Home Economics degree. At Ohio State, she joined the Chi Omega sorority. She was employed for 5 years in Cleveland with the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company as a home economist. Her family moved to Rochester Hills, MI in 1971. Starting in 1979, she worked in the Rochester Community Schools for 16 years before retiring. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert “Bob”; their children, Doug (Gail) Peters, Keith (Martha) Peters, and Laura Peters; grandchildren, Nick, Megan, Jamie, Tim & Gretchen Peters; sisters, Lois (the late Wally) Jeffery and Jean (Larry) Hjelle; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lydia Sielaff. Marty was involved in numerous organizations, such as Meadowbrook Women”s Club, Meadowbrook Hall, Chi Omega Alumni Association, Older Person”s Commission (OPC), Rochester Prayer Breakfast committee; actively volunteering at Venice Presbyterian Church and committees at the Wesley Place in the Venice Waterford complex. She was an avid reader and duplicate bridge player, playing every week whenever she could get it in. She was loved by many and will be remembered for a constant positive attitude, her kindness and her gentle heart, helping anyone and everyone, upbeat smiling face, and joy of life. She loved to walk the beach and the neighborhood, travel the world, cook outstanding meals, bake yummy desserts, play after-dinner games, and gardening. Visitation will be Thursday, April 24th, 5-9p.m. and Friday, April 25th, 4-9 p.m.at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, MI. Funeral Service Saturday (in-state 10 a.m.) 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul”s United Methodist Church, 620 Romeo St., Rochester, MI In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marty”s name to Older Person”s Commission (OPC) in Rochester, MI or the Alzheimer”s Association.

Rodman, George Martin, Age 80 of Rochester Hills April 10, 2014; Loving husband of the late Mary Agnes. Dear father of Gerard (Linda) Rodman, Loretta Rodman, Theresa (Dale) Mather, Luke Rodman, Jennifer (Mike) Brown, and Vincent (Tricia) Rodman. Survived by 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 sisters and loving friend Geraldine Schwind. Mr. Rodman served his country in the U.S. Army. The family will receive friends Tuesday April 15, 2014 3-9 p.m. with a scripture service at 7 pm at the Potere-Modetz Funeral Home 339 Walnut Blvd. Rochester. Mr. Rodman will lie instate Wednesday 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 3400 Adams Rd. Auburn Hillswith the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Suggested memorials to Alzheimers Association or the Diabetes Association.
