Church, Olga Renteria: age 86 of Rochester Hills. Died July 2, 2014. Loving wife of the late Walter Byron. Dear mother of Alice (Earl) Holt, Maria Olga (Tom) Pomaville and Walda Becky (Michael) Hanniford. Loving grandmother of David, Kim (T.J.), Chris (Nina), Jen (Scott), Micky, Rachael (Jeff), Kevin, Zachary and Becca Celia. Great grandmother of Jon, Ashlee, Caleb, Josh, Jake, Jordyn, Addyson and Avery. Dear sister of Socoro, Rudy, Sister Maria Elia, Norma and Donald. Olga was a dedicated employee… of the JL Hudson company for 35 years. She loved golfing, beaches, baseball and spending time with her family. Funeral Mass Thursday, July 3, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church 1400 Inglewood, Rochester.

Pelech, Julia: June 3rd, 1915 to July 1st, 2014 (age 99), Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Louise (Paskowski) Blaszczuk, her husband John Sr, her brothers Paul and Steven, sisters Mary, Frances, and Anna, an infant son Joseph, and a grandson Robert. Her memory will continue to live in the hearts of her surviving children John Jr, Kathleen (Michael) Kautz, and James (Lucille) Pelech, her 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.… Julia worked at Packard Motorcar Company, making sun visors, in the 1930s. When WWII broke out, she and the women whose husbands went off to war made bed sheet bandages for the wounded. She loved hand quilting, sewing, baking and cake decorating, growing flowers and gardening, but her true love was her family. She was loved by everyone who met and knew her, from family and friends, to the caregivers and nurses who helped us take care of her, and who constantly told us how “cute” she was. Funeral Mass, Saturday, July 5, 2014, 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church, 2675 John R road, Rochester Hills, MI. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 to 8 PM at the Potere-Modetz Funeral Home, 339 Walnut Blvd., Rochester. Inurnment Mt. Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Seasons Hospice.

Flook, Tyler James: Age 18 of Oxford; Died June 29, 2014. Loving son of Annmaree and George. Dear brother of Felecia, Rylee, Logan and George E. Flook, Jr. Grandson of Daniel (Mary) Mirovsky and Maureen Mirovsky. Nephew of Marc (Renee) Mirovsky and Johnny (Lori) Croasdell. Uncle of Isaiah and Josiah. Tyler was a 2014 graduate of Oxford High School. Funeral service Monday, July 7, 2014, 11 a.m. at the Modetz Funeral Home, 100 E. Silverbell Rd., Orion. The family will receive friends Sunday 2-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the family.

Felice, Thelma L: age 93; of Rochester Hills; passed away June 22, 2014. An educator, she was the administrator and teacher for the pre-school at First Baptist Church in Pontiac for many years. She also was a long-time member of Five Points Community Church. Wife of the late George Robert Felice, who preceded her in death in 1984. Mother of John (Denise) Felice of Lake Orion and George R. (Joyce) Felice, Jr. of Rochester Hills; grandmother of Michelle (Steven) Glaser, Shonna (Joseph) Menzo and Christina (Kevin) Ebey; great grandmother of Joseph and Olivia Menzo. Funeral Services were held on Thursday.

Wagman, Ella Mary: age 92, of Oakland Twp.; was summoned to her Eternal Home on Thursday, June 26, 2014. She was born September 4, 1921, in Detroit, Michigan to the late William Joseph King and the late Martha Amelia Augusta (Bark) King. She was the wife of the late Edward Paul Wagman, who preceded her in death in 1994. Loving mother of Ellen (Bob) Malzahn of Keller, TX and Susan (Terry) Herald of Oakland Twp., MI. Devoted grandmother of Sheri Ludemann, Stephanie Lockingen, David Herald, Andrew Herald and Megan Herald. Great-grandmother of Abigail, Corey, Jocelyn, Callie and Adam. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday. Memorial contributions in Ella’s name may be directed to her church, The Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word, 1000 Bagley Ave., Rochester Hills, MI 48309.
