BENNETT, VIRGINIA L. of Waterford; Went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2014; age 87; Beloved wife of the late Frank; Loving mother of Sharon Bennett, Gregory Bennett, Deborah (Louie) Calderon and Janine (Paul) Lair. Cherished grandmother of Christopher and Olivia. Mrs. Bennett was a member of the Walton Boulevard Church of God. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 24, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at the Walton Boulevard Church of God, 623 E. Walton Boulevard, Pontiac. Officiating Pastor Larry Anderson. The family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 23 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford, and at the church on Friday 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment White Chapel Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church.
A service will be held in memory of Virginia Bennett on Friday, Jan. 24 at 10:30 a.m. at the Walton Boulevard Church of God, located at 623 East Walton Boulevard in Pontiac.

GIGLIO, SHIRLEY ANN of Waterford; January 20, 2014; age 84;Beloved wife of the late Albert Giglio; Loving mother of Georgia Rosewall, Corrine Rosewall and her husband Keith Hinchcliffe and Gail Bierbower. Grandmother of Mark Bierbower. Preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph Benson, Ambrose Benson, Florece Rescoe, Mary Boomer, Eva Payne, Dorothy Trahey, Stephen Benson, Hubert Benson, Marguerite Niedziela, Ruby Graham, Ruth Hill, Patricia Wiczko and Rose Hill. Mrs. Giglio was retired from the K-Mart Corporation. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 23, 2014, 11:30 a.m. at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. Officiating Father Jack H. Baker. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, Jan. 23 from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
Nancy Lee Hillhouse
June 5, 1949 – January 18, 2014
HILLHOUSE, Nancy, age 64, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed away on January 18, 2014, after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born in Holden, Massachusetts to James and Shirley Hillhouse. She is survived by her loving husband Donald Johnson; sister of Elizabeth (Jesse) Pendleton and David (Renatè) Hillhouse; aunt of Beth (Paul Westefer) Pendleton , Jessica (Andy) Parks and Erik (Tracey) Hillhouse; also survived by three great-nieces, one great-nephew and her beloved cat Lady. A special thanks to Nancy’s caregiver, Anahita King, who gave Nancy years of help, friendship and love. Nancy spent her life helping people and reveling in their company. She was a volunteer in VISTA and Hospice and worked for years as a volunteer at the National MS Society, New Hampshire and Michigan Chapters. Nancy spent many happy years working in the field of commercial real estate financing in New Hampshire. She will be missed by countless numbers of friends. Memorial gathering Thursday, January 23rd 3:00-5:00 p.m. with Prayer Service at 5 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive, Rochester. Inurnment will be made at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, MA. QUITMEYER, Joan K., age 87, a life-long resident of Rochester and a 1944 graduate of Rochester High School, passed away January 20, 2014. Beloved wife of the late John W. Quitmeyer. Dear mother of Nan (the late Dale) Peterson and Frederick “Rick” (Porferia) Quitmeyer. Also survived by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild. Sister of Betty Westphal, Goldie Ruscoe, Charles “Skip” DeLlowe, Sharon Stroh, Larry DeLlowe and the late Stuart DeLlowe. Funeral Service 4:00 p.m. Sunday at PIXLEY FUNERAL HOME, 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester. Visitation 3-5 p.m. Saturday and again on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service. Joan’s family would prefer that rather than flowers being sent, that memorial contributions in Joan’s name be directed to Forgotten Harvest or to the Michigan Humane Society and envelopes for both be available at the funeral home.
A service for Joan Quitmeyer will be held on Sunday, Jan. 26 at the Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Dr. in Rochester.
