The approximately $2 million project will be 80 percent funded with federal dollars. The remaining amount will be covered by RCOC.  The project includes:

  • Crushing and reshaping the existing base of Rochester Road from Gerst Road to Bordman Road
  • Resurfacing the road with six inches of asphalt
  • Replacement of several culverts
  • Improved drainage

Construction is expected to begin in summer 2016 and conclude late in 2016.

During construction, the road will be closed to through traffic; however, access to homes and businesses within the construction zone will be maintained at all times. The detour route for closure will be Leonard Road to Secord Lake Road to Bordman Road and back to Rochester Road and vice versa.
