Resurfacing Rochester Road North of Tienken

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) will begin resurfacing work August 8 on Rochester Road, from Tienken Road north to Lakeville Road, in Rochester Hills, Oakland Township, and Addison Township. The work is expected to be completed by October 14, 2022.

During the work, the road will remain open to traffic with flaggers directing motorists in the work zone. Motorists should expect some delays.

The project cost is $3.5 million. It will be paid for through federal road funding and RCOC dollars. It will include paving with asphalt and new pavement markings.

The 9.40-mile project includes:

  • Milling (grinding road surface)
  • Paving with asphalt
  • Gravel road shoulders
  • Work on existing guardrails
  • New pavement markings
