Reuther Middle School Receives 2011 MASB Education Excellence Award

The Michigan Association of School Boards and SET SEG School Insurance Specialists recently recognized Reuther Middle School as a recipient of a 2011 Education Excellence Award for their Intervention Program – Support Toward Achieving Transition (STAT) Center.

At a May 17 luncheon hosted by MASB and SET SEG, Reuther’s Intervention Program was awarded a trophy, certificate, check for $300 and a metal street sign proclaiming it a “2011 Education Excellence Winner.”  The STAT Center won in the category of Health and School Safety and will move on to round two judging in order to determine if the Intervention Program will be recognized as one of “Michigan’s Best” at the MASB fall conference.

Accepting the award was Reuther Principal, Cheryl Gambaro, Superintendent David Pruneau, Board President, Barbara Cenko and Intervention Specialist, Patrick Luea.
