JEA President Mark Newton presents Julia Satterthwaite with her Certified Journalism Educator certificate

Congratulations to Mrs. Julia Satterthwaite, Rochester High School journalism teacher and adviser of the award-winning student newspaper The Talon for achieving the status of Certified Journalism Educator.

This is an outstanding professional accomplishment for a journalism instructor, which demonstrates a commitment to quality education for media students. Satterthwaite was honored at a ceremony during the spring Journalism Education Association (JEA)/National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) convention on Saturday, April 12 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel.
