The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) announced to day that it plans to close Tienken Road from Brewster to Livernois Roads in Rochester Hills for road construction beginning Wednesday, August 5.
While the road will remain open to local traffic (traveling to homes and businesses within the construction zone), there will be delays for local traffic. During the closure, the Brookwood subdivision will need to exit towards Brewster Road. Most side streets will also be closed.
Paving work also continues on the Tienken from Adams to Brewster. That area is also closed to through traffic, but remains open to business and local residential traffic.
Through traffic should continue to use the designated detour of Adams Road to University Drive to Rochester Road and vice versa.
The project is expected to conclude in November and the prime contractor is Dan’s Excavating.
