Road Commission to host booth at Woodward Dream Cruise

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) invites visitors to this year’s Woodward Dream Cruise to stop by the Road Commission’s booth at the event.

The booth will be located in Memorial Park at the northeast corner of Thirteen Mile Road and Woodward Ave. in Royal Oak. It will be staffed by RCOC employees and retirees volunteering their time.

County road maps, children’s coloring books and informational brochures will be available at the booth. There will also be a Road Commission plow truck and traffic signals on hand for visitors to see up close.

“We see this as a great opportunity to interact with our customers while reminding them of the unique relationship that roads and cars have enjoyed throughout the Road Commission’s 100 years of existence,” explained RCOC Board Chairman Greg Jamian. “We can educate the public about who we are and what we do, while sharing this exciting event with them,” he added.

The RCOC booth will be staffed from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
