ROCHESTER, MI – Rochester Adams High School will be recognized on Friday October 15 as repeat winner of the Crittenton Cup. The four-foot high sterling silver trophy will be presented to the school at a student assembly at 10 am.
The “Crittenton Cup” is a competition among varsity scholar athletes at each of the three Rochester Community Schools (RCS) high schools – Rochester, Rochester Adams and Rochester Stoney Creek – in which points are earned for victories and ties in competition. Both boys and girls teams are included. At the end of the school year, the school with the most points wins the Crittenton Cup.
Crittenton Hospital Medical Center (Crittenton) and Rochester Community Schools (RCS) announced the partnership in early 2009 to recognize excellence by student athletes.
“Crittenton is proud to sponsor this award and partner with Rochester Community Schools. Athletics and physical activity is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle and something we strongly endorse. Our mission is to enhance the health status of our community and this program represents an important step in that journey.”
