The Rochester-Avon Historical Society (RAHS) is hosting its 32nd Antique Appraisal Day on Sunday, April 12, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, 1005 Van Hoosen Road, Rochester Hills, MI.
This community event is the society’s largest fundraiser. Experts and professional appraisers will be on hand to provide verbal appraisals on a number of items, including books, vinyl records, cast iron toys, dolls and teddy bears, coins, décor and furniture, glass, pottery, china, collectibles, fine and vintage jewelry, paintings, stringed instruments, and more.
Admission to the event is free. Attendees may bring up to five (5) items per person. For larger items, RAHS requests photos only with descriptions. Additionally, the public may bring photos only of guns and antique weapons for appraisal. Guns and antique weapons will not be permitted in the event space.
There is a fee of $5 per appraised item. Cash only, please. Appraisers will provide verbal appraisals only. All items are appraised at fair market value. Selling and buying are not permitted at this event.
Whether you have inherited a family keepsake, discovered a curious find at an estate sale, or simply want to learn more about a favorite collectible, Antique Appraisal Day offers a fascinating and educational experience for collectors and history enthusiasts alike.

Proceeds from Antique Appraisal Day help historical education and local preservation efforts.
