The Rochester Community Concert Band (RCCB), celebrating its 10th Anniversary Season, invites you to an exciting evening of music with its concert Epic Journey on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 620 Romeo Street in Rochester, Michigan. Admission is free, with donations gratefully accepted.
This dynamic program explores musical journeys both heroic and reflective, featuring euphonium soloist Levi Hardy of Oakland University (OU) and a special collaboration with St. Paul’s Music Director, Dr. Seung Hee Cho. The concert will be conducted by Paul F. DeRubeis, with guest conductor Mike Szczgielniak appearing on the program.
Selections include Mars from The Planets, In the Stillness, a medley from Phantom of the Opera, Vintage featuring Levi Hardy, Melodious Thunk, On the Mall March, and Respighi’s Pines of the Appian Way with organ.
From the fiery drive of Holst’s Mars to the majestic grandeur of Respighi’s Pines of the Appian Way, the program promises an evening filled with drama, beauty, and excitement. The concert will also highlight the expressive voice of the euphonium and the powerful resonance of the pipe organ, adding unique color and depth to the musical journey.
