In its third concert of the season, the Rochester Community Concert Band (RCCB), conducted by Paul F. DeRubeis, will present ‘Musician’s Favorites’ on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. in the Stoney Creek High School Auditorium located at 6755 Sheldon Road in Rochester Hills, Mich.
The concert is open to the public and admission is free. Donations are gratefully accepted and appreciated.
The concert will feature Dr. Amanda Ross, Visiting Professor of Trumpet, Oakland University performing “Fantasie Brillante” by Jean-Baptiste Arban.
We also welcome to the podium RCCB members Natalie Debusschure who will conduct “Festive Overture” by Dmitri Shostakovich and Bridgette Tepper conducting Gustav Holst’s “Second Suite for Military Band”.
Back to perform “Bugler’s Holiday” by Leroy Anderson are RCCB trumpeters Alex Floury, Bridgette Tepper, and Rob Roy.
Other selections to be performed include: “Baba Yetu” by Christopher Tin from the video game Civilization IV, “Sinatra!” a medley of his most popular songs arranged by Stephen Bulla, and in honor of our hometown team, “Gridiron Heroes” Fight Song of the Detroit Lions.
