Rochester Community Concert Band presents ‘The Sounds of Summer’

The Rochester Community Concert Band is pleased to invite you to a free outdoor concert on August 2, 2022, at 7:30 p.m. on the east lawn of St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church, 2675 John R. Road, Rochester Hills, MI. The rain date is Wednesday, August 3.

Selections to be performed include “Strike up the Band,” “Africa,” “Beatles 1964,” “Cartoon Express,” “Highlights from The Music Man,” “Dill Pickles,” “Ragtime,’ “A Salute to America’s Finest” a medley of all the branches of our military service songs, “Highlights from the Lion King Sound Track” and “The Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Philip Sousa.

Donations are gratefully accepted and appreciated.

Attendees are asked to bring their own lawn chairs and to please follow the current CDC and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services COVID-19 guidelines.

The 70-member all-volunteer Rochester Community Concert Band is conducted by Paul F. DeRubeis and includes adult community members and advanced high school students from greater Rochester and Rochester Hills.
