The Rochester Community House continues to help the community with their upcoming Kitchen Dinner. The June 19th Community Kitchen Dinner will be sponsored by The Rochester Lions Club and the University Presbyterian Church.
The dinner will be the annual Father’s Day Barbeque Dinner. Dave Bates is the Chair person for The Lions club and Nina Macri is the chairwoman for the Presbyterian Church.
25 volunteers from the sponsoring clubs and Community House will pack, serve and deliver the home cooked meals to Rochester residents in need.
The Rochester Community Kitchen is in dire need of food for their pantry. Residents wishing to make donations to the pantry are asked to leave donations in the large boxes in the main lobby of the Rochester Community House.
Items specifically needed are canned spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, crackers, shampoo, toilet paper, napkins, paper towels, canned fruit and laundry soaps.
Rochester Community Kitchen distributes many bags of emergency groceries from its back door each week. Due to the demand for food, our shelves are bare. We are the community for your help.
Those who would like to make a reservation or cannot leave their home should call Rochester Community House at 248-651-0622. For more information, visit www.rochestercommhouse.org or become a fan on Facebook.
